Master's Class

We are doing a Master's class in preparation for our December Christmas
Recital. This will take place instead of lessons on Monday, Nov 30 from
3:30-5:00pm. This is for EVERYONE! I will hold regular lessons on Thursday
and Friday that week (Dec. 3 & 4)  since I will NOT be holding lessons the
previous week over the Thanksgiving break Nov. 26 & 27).  Master's class
will give them an opportunity to play their Christmas piece safely in front
of peer before the performance. We will also be doing some other fun music
activities that will enhance your child's music theory and knowledge. I'm
really looking forward to it and hope everyone will be able to accommodate
the time this month. I believe the experience will be invaluable! In the
expectation that everyone will be able to make it to the Master's class, I
have invoiced you accordingly. In the event that this time isn't going to
work for you, please let me know and adjust the payment accordingly.

Christmas Recital

I have confirmation on our Christmas Recital options. I understand Christmas is a busy time of year! It's also a time made more special by music and service. As a teacher I've tried to provide that for those who may not be able to get out and enjoy the season as much. This is why I choose to do my Christmas Recital at a senior home. There are two options, you are not required to perform at both. I would like you to pick a date, time and place that works best for your schedule to have your child perform and let me know. These will not be long recitals (maybe 30mins. at most), nor very formal, but I would like all the performers to be dressed in Sunday type clothes. These are the two options:
1. Dec, 5, at 11:00am at Bel Aire (436 East 700 North, Orem)
2. Dec. 19 at 11:00am at Alpine Velly Care Center (5 Alpine Dr, Pleasant Grove)

They are both at 11:00 because the residents are not fed, showered and presentable until then, and then they have lunch directly after and afternoons weren't an option. So I'm hoping this will work for you :). Please let me know by email or text which performance works for you. Happy Holidays!

Fall Update

Because of conflicting Back to School nights and the chaos of starting school, there are no piano lessons for next week. I'll make sure everyone gets credited appropriately. The Fall schedule will begin the following week of August 24-28.

Fall Changes

What a great summer, but gone so quickly. I can hardly believe school starts again so soon. There are two changes this Fall. The first is scheduling. I have been been working on the schedule for awhile and it got so complicated and time consuming that I've decided to publish the times I am available to teach and let you pick the spot that works best for your schedules. My children's string teacher does this and is has worked really well so I'm going to try it. I'll begin taking requests by text starting at 7am Saturday, August 8 (Tomorrow). To be fair to everyone, please don't text me before that time. Text me the time and day you prefer from the list of available times below and I'll get back with you asap to confirm your scheduled time. If you need a 45 min slot, please text me the starting time and I'll work with you. We'll see how this all goes. :) This is all on a first come, first serve basis. Good luck!

The second change is honestly a hard one for me, one I have thought much about and put off doing, but at the counsel of my husband and out of necessity, I will be increasing my tuition prices to $15/lesson. This will be effective as of September 1, 2015. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or text me!!

I know May is a busy month, and I pondered taking the last week in May off, but I don't see any conflicts with Tuesday, so I'm planning on teaching all 4 weeks in May. Let me know ahead of time if you're going to miss a lesson, otherwise, I'll plan on seeing everyone.

I've gone green! No more paper invoices or newsletters will be coming home with your students. All information will be posted to this blog and invoices will be emailed.
